Tom Tancredo will announce his Presidential plans on monday, according to The Associated Press:
Tancredo said Friday he will make the announcement in Des Moines, Iowa. Iowa’s presidential caucuses are the first in the nation.
Tancredo, an outspoken opponent of illegal immigration, formed an exploratory committee in January and this week chose former CNN commentator Bay Buchanan to temporarily oversee the exploratory campaign.
He has made campaign visits to Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire and has hired a campaign manager for New Hampshire.
Given that he is making the announcement in Iowa and recently hired Buchanan, it’s safe to say that Tancredo won’t be announcing that he is not running for President.
